1/2 Size Extra High Chinrest - Flesch Flat Model in Ebony - 44mm

The Flesch Flat is a high center mounted chinrest favored for its leverage that assists many more petite players, with its comfortable rounded edge and shallow cup. It is unusual to find this chinrest in half size. It will also fit most 1/4 size violins. This extra high version is designed to assist the exceptionally long-necked player. Normal Flesch Flat height is 26 mm, but the height in the center of the edge of this chinrest is 44 mm. Figaro fine fittings are made only from the best sourced materials and finished by hand by craftsmen in a family owned business. The Ebony (Diospyros ebenum) is pure black, harvested in Sri Lanka or the Chotonagpur Plateau in India. Then it is aged to assure stability and quarter sawn before being made into the individual parts. The cork (Quercus suber) is the finest quality, fitted precisely to minimize acoustic interference and to maximize stability. The chrome fittings are all individually fitted by hand and are straight and thread easily. There are no chinrests available that are superior!
