Lot of 12 old Venetian millefiori beads from the African trade. Trade beads were decorative glass beads, used between the 16th and 20th Century as a token money to exchange for local african goods as oil, gold etc. Listing is for 12 beads. I have more then one set, yours will be similar but non identical. ✔️ Shape: truncated oval ✔️ Color: yellow with red "ribbon", the murrine are blue and red ✔️ Size: ca 13 mm ✔️ These beads are handmade, no beads are identical. This is the real thing, no import from India or China in my shop. ✔️ Late 19th - early 20th C ✔️ The beads are in very good used condition. Some of these beads have traveled at least three continents. Corrosion and pitting are a normal part of their patina attesting to their age and extensive use. ✔️ The beads will be carefully wrapped.
