Description

This set of eight Venetian feather beads dates to the late 1800s, each handcrafted oval bead displaying deep red glass with distinctive feather patterning and ranging from roughly 15–24 mm in size. Originally used as trade currency across three continents between the 16th and 20th centuries, these beads carry visible signs of their journey—surface corrosion, pitting, and minor chips that mark their authenticity and extensive history. No two beads are identical, and they're graduated in size for stringing, arriving carefully wrapped.
