Vintage Anchor Hocking Milk Glass Covered Candy Dish – Harvest Grape Pattern Octagonal Footed Pedestal Compote Description: This classic Anchor Hocking milk glass candy dish is a lovely example of mid-century Harvest Grape design. The octagonal bowl sits on a sturdy pedestal foot, and its matching lid has an octagonal knob handle. Raised clusters of grapes and grape leaves decorate both the bowl and the lid, set against a finely stippled background that gives the glass a soft, pearly sparkle. The bright white milk glass has an opalescent glow when it catches the light. Fill it with candy, chocolates, nuts, or mints, or use it for jewelry, cotton balls, or a bathroom vanity. It also makes a pretty display piece on a shelf or coffee table. It suits farmhouse, cottage, and traditional interiors, and it makes a nice gift for a milk glass collector or a wedding candy buffet.
