Antique African trade bead that was made in Venice, Italy, and used in Africa for trade. This is NOS, and is a lovely bright yellow with red stripes, and it is a small size at 14.5 mm. It has a dirt patina that is genuine, and shows it's age. the ends are intact, and one end is chipped, as is common with these beads. These beads are a must have for any bead collector, and are a significant historical piece that spans the entire world. These beads were acquired in the 1960's from a friend who traveled to Africa.
