Beaded Evening Bag, Designer YUNG KEE, Hong Kong, Beads & Black Sequins, Vintage

This exquisitely beaded evening bag is absolutely amazing! This elegant and sparkling all-over beaded and sequined purse is the perfect accessory for the holidays, theater, anniversary, wedding, or that special evening out. The overall design is gorgeous. The outside is covered with rows and rows of sewn-on tiny black glass seed beads and iridescent sequins. The detailing of the beadwork is impeccable, which is a known quality of beaded purses made in Hong Kong. This lovely beadwork is complimented beautifully by the gold tone metal frame. The frame has a slinky snake-chain metal cord strap (12 ¼ inches total length) to hold the bag with. If you want to use the handbag as a clutch purse, tuck the strap inside and out of the way. It closes with gold metal kissing closures that are accented by clear rhinestone jewels. The designer tag says: “Comfort” Trade Mark, YUNG KEE SHOES FTY AND EXPORTER, Made in Hong Kong. The interior of the purse is made of black satiny lining. It has one interior side pocket. The interior is clean, with no stains or odors inside the purse. I believe it was made in the 1950s or 1960s. Information about purse: • Maker/Label: “Comfort” Trade Mark, YUNG KEE SHOES FTY AND EXPORTER • Width: 9 inches (widest part) • Height of purse: 5 ½ inches • Depth of purse: 1 inches (at bottom) • Total length of strap: 12 ¼ inches (from end to end) • Strap drop: 5 ½ inches CONDITION: Very good vintage condition. All the beading, stitching and fabric remain in excellent vintage condition. The closure works well. The purse has no odors. There are no rips or tears on the exterior of the purse. Things to note: There may be a few sequins missing at the seam area on the bottom on one side, but I cannot tell if this was how it originally was made because the seam is there. This is not readily apparent unless you are looking at it very closely. This is a vintage item, and has been gently used and could be over 50 years old at this point. I have done my best to describe the item, but it is possible that a small defect could have escaped my notice.
