Chicory Heirloom Herb Seeds: Coffee Substitute, Electric Blue Flowers

Chicory is a hardy heirloom plant prized for its roasted root—a caffeine-free coffee substitute that's been used since ancient times—and its striking electric blue flowers that brighten any garden. The leaves are edible and nutritious, useful fresh in salads or as a spinach alternative, making this an unusually practical ornamental. Easy to grow from seed even in poor soil, chicory adapts well to most conditions and becomes quite drought-tolerant once established.
