EDWARD BAWDEN Lithographic Book Illustration 1949 - The Saddler's Shop / The Market Gardener - Curwen Press

This 1949 Edward Bawden lithograph captures two charming scenes from village life—The Saddler's Shop and The Market Gardener—originally drawn directly onto zinc plates by the acclaimed British artist for Curwen Press. The print retains its unfaded colours and subtle patina of age, bearing only gentle handling marks from its decades bound in the first edition of Life in an English Village. A striking piece for collectors of mid-century British art and illustration.
