First Edition Hardback of Maxie at Brinksome Hall by Elsie B. Gardner

This is the 1934 First Edition of Maxie at Brinksome Hall. It is hardback and illustrated. The MAXIE SERIES consisted of seven volumes written by Elsie Bell Gardner and published by Cupples & Leon between 1932 and 1939. Maxie is a young woman and she has adventures with her pals. It appears that she is similar to Nancy Drew, best I can tell. The book is in good vintage condition, especially for its age. The boards have expected wear and tear, with a damaged corner (see photos). The page are browning around the edges from age. There is an old paperdoll that was used as a bookmark that left the outline of it on the pages (very cool in my opinion). 7.5" x 5"
