Fjärran Glass Bowl by Franz James – Rare Ruby Red – 1980s

This hand-blown glass bowl from Franz James's 1980s Fjärran series is a rare find—the only ruby red example known to exist, while clear versions circulated more widely. The deep crimson glass rests on a metal base detailed with rattan, creating a striking contrast between luminous colour and tactile restraint. Minor surface scratches on the glass speak to its vintage authenticity, while the rattan remains pristine, making this a quietly confident piece for a space with good natural light.
