French 4/4 Violin Tailpiece in Ceylonese Ebony

The rounded French tailpiece is considered the most desirable for instruments needing warmth and projection. Our design is gently swooped on the top, finished carefully even on the underside, provided with subtly splayed notches, and a beautifully inlaid ebony nut. Figaro fine fittings are made only from the best sourced materials and finished by hand by craftsmen in a family owned business. The Ebony (Diospyros ebenum) is pure black, harvested in Sri Lanka and the Chotonagpur Plateau in India. Then it is aged to assure stability and quarter sawn before being made into the individual parts. 110 mm length.
