Hand-Painted Wood Slab Art | Signed Swamp Landscape with Duck

Original hand-painted landscape on a natural live-edge wood slab, signed G.R. Hayes. The scene depicts a Southern swamp marsh at sunset with a standing duck, cypress trees draped in Spanish moss, and reflective water under a soft sky of blue, gold, and orange tones. The irregular bark edge and visible wood grain give this piece a strong rustic, cabin, and folk-art character. The back shows evidence of a previous artwork beneath the current painting, adding to its handmade, repurposed charm. A hanging mechanism is already installed for easy wall display. This piece would work beautifully in a lodge, lake house, farmhouse, or eclectic gallery wall. Condition Good vintage/handmade condition. Natural wood irregularities, paint variation, and signs of age are part of the character of the piece. No structural damage noted. Approximate Measurements • 15.5” wide x 11” tall • Depth varies with live edge Stand is not included.
