if you are not in the United Kingdom please message me a phone number for customs purposes. I may not be able to dispatch your order without it. This is the heaviest G clamp I have had through my shop. There is nothing about it that is undersized. Fully open it has a capacity of just over 10 inches and it will Clamp anything larger than three and a half inches. I have cleaned and restored this tool and it is now ready for use. Be aware however that if you are not in the UK the weight of this tool is such that it may be expensive to ship. I have put what I think the likely price is to ship this item that but given its size and its weight It may be even more than this. everything about this tool Is built on massive lines. The thread is one inch in diameter And the round foot it's nearly two inches across. the frame is 17 1/2 inches long and the gap from the centre of the thread to the back of the frame is about four and three quarter inches. The steel plate from which the frame has been cut is three quarters of an inch thick. When it arrived in my shop it was very dirty and extremely rusty. I have removed most of the rust although the nature of the steel from which this tool is made Is that it rusts at the drop of a hat. I cleaned out the the grime from in the threads and it now moves smoothly with little drag. I repainted the body. There was none of the original paint left on it so I was unable to match the paint colour but I have painted it in a dark green rust resistant paint. I think this is a clamp used by an engineer. It seems unlikely that a Carpenter would ever need a clamp This heavy Or which will exert this much force. I think it was made as a special since the head and tail of the G have been welded on and the marks where the frame was cut out are still evident. It may even have been made in the toolroom of an engineering shop. The one thing that is absolutely certain is you will never find another one like it.
