Mid 20th Century Baby Theme Sterling Silver Charm Bracelet | 3D Baby Pram | Bird House | Alarm Clock

This is a fantastic newlywed 'mother to be' themed 1940's to mid 20th century sterling silver charm bracelet. It showcases three symbolic charms with the very typical early 1900's message of a woman's pressure to have a baby with 'the clock is ticking on the empty nest' message. The theme bracelet features three sterling silver charms that are 3-dimensional and two of them have moving parts: The alarm clock with the ticking of time passing away...has rotating hands and winding key in the back. The empty bird house with no nest in it ...yet. The empty baby pram...also with no baby in it has rolling wheels and the hood moves up and and down. All charms are marked sterling and on the original paperclip and round link chain which also has the original spring ring clasp. Although not marked an duplicate of the baby carriage charm was found on the original manufacturer's card backing and it was from Cal Art. So the bracelet is being attributed to Cal Art even though it is unsigned. As with many mid century sterling silver items this was also rhodium plated but much of the plating on the charms has worn off. This bracelet has not been polished and will await it's new owner to decide it they wish to remove the oxidation. Weight" 5.8 grams. Measurements: The chain measures 7" in length by 2.25mm in width with all charms approximately 5/16". Condition: Good condition with wear to the rhodium plating on the charms. The jump ring the clasp connects to is a bit large and could use replacement. Shipping time: Within 1 to 3 days.
