Mughal Emperors Assembly, Indian Miniature Wall Art, Mughal Dynasty Group Portrait, Indian Royal Art Print, Framed Indian Decor

Three Mughal emperors sit enthroned together beneath a flowered canopy, attendants standing in homage below - a dynastic group portrait gathering the great rulers of the house into one ideal assembly. ABOUT THE SUBJECT Composite portraits like this one were never records of a meeting that happened. They were arguments: that sovereignty ran unbroken through the line, that the living emperor sat in the company of his forebears by right. Painters assembled them from earlier likenesses, matching profile to profile, so that generations who never shared a room share a carpet.
