PHILIPPE VENET Vintage French Couture Red Wool Coat or Coat Dress, Size SM

French couturier Philippe Venet was especially renowned for his coats produced from the 1960s to the 1980s. This red coat is from that era, perhaps late in the 1980s. It is double-faced wool with folded, hand-sewn seams on the interior. The coat has no collar, long tapered sleeves that are gathered at the shoulders, and Venet's logo gold tone buttons. Based on the chest and hip measurements, and after allowing for a little extra room for clothing to be worn underneath, we are estimating it to be a modern International size Small, or 4-6. MEASUREMENTS - Shoulder width is 15" - Chest is 38" - Waist is 36" - Hips are 42" down center back. - Sleeve length is 23" - Length is 45" down center backter back.
