Pomegranate Jewelry Dish, Ceramic Hand Painted Trinket Tray, Pre-Order

My ceramic pomegranate ring dishes feature hand painted seeds in random patterns mimicking the formations found in the actual fruit and come with 4 compartments. This is a hand built piece. I hand paint them with 2-3 layers of underglaze, fire them in my kiln, and then glaze them with a clear glossy glaze and fire them a second time over 2000°F (1093°C)! This is a mid-fire stoneware ceramic piece, which means it is quite sturdy and has the potential to last a lifetime (and beyond!) with proper care. Each dish is totally unique, no two pieces are exactly alike! These larger dishes measure about 6-1/4” wide and 6-1/2” high including the crown (calyx). These are my favorite things to make! I really enjoy doing a new off the cuff seed formation for each dish. They also bring back memories of my dad who would buy me pomegranates as soon as they were in season. We’d sit deconstructing the fruit after dinner while chatting or watching a movie, afterwards enjoying the seeds.
