Queen Purandokht Sasanian Empire Gold Coin Canvas - frame Wall Art - museum paper : Female Sovereign of Persia - Women Power in ancient Iran

The Empress of Peace: Queen Purandokht (Boran) A Golden Fragment of Sasanian Sovereignty & Female Power Embrace the legacy of one of the most remarkable figures in Persian history. This artwork is a high-definition digital restoration of a rare gold dinar from the reign of Empress Purandokht (c. 629–631 AD), the first woman to rule the Sasanian Empire as a sovereign monarch. 🏛️ The Tale of the Golden Empress In an era of turmoil, Purandokht ascended the throne with a mission of restoration. Her motto was: "Restore the race of gods." She is remembered as a wise ruler who signed peace treaties, rebuilt infrastructure, and lowered taxes to bring stability back to the Persian heartland. The Obverse (Front): A majestic portrait of the Queen. Notice the intricate details of her dual-pointed crown (symbolizing the sun and moon) and her royal braided hair. Her gaze is steady and regal, reflecting a leader who ruled with both grace and iron will. The Reverse (Back): A divine depiction of the Empress standing (or a ceremonial fire altar in some variations), holding a scepter and a globe/flower. It symbolizes her role as the protector of the Zoroastrian faith and the bringer of justice. 🖋️ The Gohar Art Studio Restoration We have meticulously restored this ancient gold coin to its original splendor: Obsidian Gold Aesthetic: The warm, rich tones of the Sasanian gold are set against a Deep Velvet Black background.
