Champion is very easy to grow and is ready to harvest in just 25 days, which radishes are 1-2 in across. Radish prefers cool weather, so best to plant in spring and fall. For an extended harvest, plant a new crop every two weeks, avoiding hot mid-season months. Champion is an excellent variety for long-term storage. Growing Instructions: 1) Direct sow: In spring 3-4 weeks before final spring frost or as soon as soil can be worked. In fall 6 weeks before the first expected fall frost. Plant 2-3 seeds 1/2 inch deep and 1-2 inches apart in rows 9-12in apart. Keep soil evenly moist but not overly wet. Water gently before germination occurs to avoid disturbing seeds. Germination will occur around 14-21 days. Thin to one plant every inch when leaves are about 2-3in tall.
