Description
Description
A complete set of six vintage Soviet tea cups with matching saucers, richly hand-decorated with cobalt blue, white, and generous gilding.
The elegant and ornate pattern was designed by N. Slavina and dates to the 1970s, during the Soviet era.
One cup still retains its original Berjoshka price label on the base, a rare and evocative detail linking the set directly to its historical context. The cups appear to have seen very little use. The gilding shows only minimal softening consistent with age, and all pieces are fully intact with no chips or cracks.
These are refined, decorative tea cups with a strong visual presence—equally suitable for careful use, display, or collection.

Provenance & Story
These cups come from a private family collection.
My aunt traveled to the Soviet Union several times during the 1970s. On my first trip abroad—almost 50 years ago—we purchased two sets of coffee cups together. Whether this exact set was from that journey or from a later visit is no longer certain.
What is certain is that my aunt rarely entertained more than three guests at a time—“I cannot concentrate on more than that,” she used to say. Because of this, it is very likely that some of these cups were never used at all.
They have been carefully stored and preserved ever since.
Carefully packed and shipped with full protection.
