Shelter - VanRah Painted Purse

This hand-painted navy BCBG purse by VanRah Design carries the weight of a particular moment—artist Rosewatergang created it while supporting migrants and refugees in 2021, embedding area codes, Dari script, and symbolic imagery that reflect the journeys of those crossing borders. The piece includes a faux passport card holder as a bag tag, rendered in faux leather, while the acrylic painting itself is sealed with water-resistant coating for everyday durability. A pre-loved polyurethane purse transformed into wearable testimony.
