Stella La Violette enjoys cooking and has gained a well-deserved regional reputation for the wonderful meals she makes for both large and small dinner parties. In this her first cookbook, Blueberry Peaches, Red Robin Pie, she lives up to that reputation presenting wonderful examples of the favorite meals she has enjoyed preparing. All of the recipes are Stella's own and have been tried many times on her built in recipe her husband, Paul Estronza. La Violette interposes Gulf coast short stories between the chapters, bringing to life the subjects of the various courses of a full meal that they represent. The richly animated pen and ink drawings of Stig Marcussen add a note of delightful whimsy to Stella's recipes. The cookbook has been inscribed/signed by Stella LaViolette and there is a further notation in red ink on the inside cover; otherwise, the book is in excellent condition. 141 pages.
