Silk Rug - figural Tibetan style weaving of Chinese protective "door god" men-shen or similar. 18" wide x 24" high image 31" w fringe.

This silk rug features a striking figural weaving in Tibetan style depicting a Chinese protective door god, likely men-shen, rendered in vibrant jewel tones. The intricate composition centers on an ornate bearded face framed by a elaborate headdress crowned with a multi-hued dragon motif, with a woven ideogram signature integrated into the background. Measuring 24 by 18 inches (31 inches with fringe), this mid-century panel works beautifully as an entryway textile or decorative wall hanging, bringing both artistic character and auspicious symbolism to a space.
