Description

Everybody was briefed. Nobody signed anything, and the person who did the briefing has left. Training that was genuinely delivered and never recorded is, for every practical purpose, training that did not happen — to an insurer, to a new manager, to the person who has to work out who still needs it. The session took an hour. The record of it takes ninety seconds and is the only part that survives. TRAINED is 11 pages of plain, ruled paper for exactly that. Who was trained, in what, on what day, by whom — with a signature beside it and the date the employer has decided it should be done again. THE FOUR PAGES THAT PAY FOR IT One page per person. What they have been trained in, when, by whom, and the date the employer has set for the next one. The page a new manager reads first. The training log. Every course, briefing and toolbox talk as it happens: date, who delivered it, how long, and a signature from the person who sat through it. Sign-in sheets for a group. One session, one page, everybody's name and signature on it. The format anybody auditing a business expects to see. Refresh dates the employer sets. Written in by you, off your own requirement, with the source named. This book prints no interval and names no course as required. WHAT IS INSIDE One — The record Who keeps it, and where the requirements come from One — The people Everybody on this record, one line each Two — A person One page per person, printed as needed Three — The log Every course and briefing, written up on the day Four — A session Signed in the room, with an attendance sheet Five — Next dates Set by the employer, written in by you WHY IT IS A BOOK AND NOT A SPREADSHEET Because a training record is only worth anything if it is signed, and signatures happen on paper in a room at the end of a session. A sheet passed down a table takes twelve names in a minute. A spreadsheet filled in afterwards by one person is a list of assertions, and everybody who has ever had to rely on one knows it. WHAT YOU GET Four PDFs, one for each print size: US Letter (8.5 x 11 in) A4 Half-Letter (5.5 x 8.5 in) A5 11 pages each. Print at home or at a print shop, as many times as you like, for as long as you like. Plain paper and a ring binder is the whole kit. Instant download, in your Etsy Purchases the moment payment clears. THE SMALL PRINT Digital download. No physical item is shipped. Colours vary between screens and printers. For personal use. Please do not resell or redistribute the files. A NOTE ON WHAT THIS IS The shortest page in the book, and worth reading first. This is ruled paper for recording training that was actually delivered, and for signing it. What this is. Ruled paper for writing down what you did, when you did it and what it came to — with a date beside it. Nothing in it is computed and nothing in it is advice What this is not. Not a training regime, not a syllabus and not a competence assessment. It names no course as required, prints no refresh interval, sets no standard, awards no certificate and judges nobody as competent or otherwise Why it refuses. Because what training is required, how often it must be repeated and who may deliver it are set by law, by sector, by insurers and by the employer, and they differ by country and by trade and are revised. A course named here as required would be wrong for most of the people reading it, and an interval printed here would be treated as authority by somebody who should have asked. Your requirements come from your own regulator, your insurer and your own policy. This book records what was delivered, by whom, and who signed for it
