Sugansnax Carrot seeds, one of the sweetest carrots available! These seeds produce a highly popular hybrid variety renowned for its exceptional sweetness, crisp texture and a deep orange color. In my opinion, it is one of the best tasting carrots out there! As a "Nantes" type, this carrot is nearly coreless, smooth-skinned and grows to a uniform, cylindrical shape, making it a reliable and delicious choice for both home gardeners and commercial growers. The flavor is exceptionally sweet and non-bitter, even when harvested young or allowed to reach full size (up to 7 inches long). They are perfect for eating raw (have you ever eaten a carrot directly out of the soil??? Wow!) Great for juicing and using in salads and lunchboxes. The bright color and sweet flavor hold up well when steamed, roasted or used in soups and stews. My favorite is roasted with a thin glaze of maple syrup. This variety stores well, making it ideal for late season harvest for winter storage. I personally have left them in the ground until just before Christmas in my Colorado garden. Carrots seeds are tiny and require care during sowing. Direct sowing outside is highly recommended as carrots do not transplant well due to their long taproot. Sow seeds thinly in a shallow trench about 1/4 inch deep. Carrots are notoriously slow to germinate, usually taking about 3 weeks. Keep soil moist until germination. Plant seeds in full sun. Non-GMO.
