See below for information on Ingredients ... WHAT IS TALLOW? Tallow is the purified fat rendered from cows. More specifically it is a nutrient dense fat surrounding the organs of cows that is packed with nutrients (Vitamin A, D, E & K) and was a key ingredient in ancient skincare for this very reason. Tallow is a fat, but that doesn’t mean it’s bad for our skin. Interestingly, it’s one of the very few substances that shares a very similar composition to our natural skin oils. Tallow resembles our natural sebum, which is the oils produced by the glands on our skin. The literal translation of tallow in Latin is “Sebum”. This resemblance in our biology means our skin soaks it right up! Most importantly, Tallow is Non-Comedogenic which simply means that it doesn’t clog your pores. Instead, it balances the oil production on your skin reducing the chances of break outs and spots from forming. SQUALANE- A natural component of sebum that helps the skin and hair to retain hydration. ISOAMYL LAURATE- A plant based molecule that is non greasy that serves as an emollient for skin, making it soft and silky. CETYL ALCOHOL- Fatty wax derived from coconuts used to moisturise and soften dry, rough skin. *This is not the same type of alcohol that dries out the skin*. LECITHIN- Fatty acid derived from sunflowers that can penetrate skin and form a moisture barrier to help restore the condition of skin. Has humectant properties (draws water molecules into skin). ARROW ROOT- A type of starch that increases the penetration of the cream into the skin. CARROT SEED EXTRACT- Concentrated components extracted from the carrot to soothe skin. Helps give a smoother, clearer, more radiant complexion. ROSE GERANIUM OIL- Known to regulate the sebum production on the skin and scalp. An unbalanced production of sebum often leads to various skin conditions. HOW TO USE The beauty of using tallow is that its not only beneficial for your skin but also your hair! To get the most effectiveness out of it you should apply a small amount to your skin when damp and rub it in to seal in the moisture and to give it a soft feeling and a wonderful glow. You can also do this when your skin is dry. This will create a luscious, rich moisturiser for your everyday needs that has an all day lasting feel. FOR HAIR -Use as a deep conditioner for hair, apply either onto dry or damp hair, rinse out or leave in depending on hair texture. This will give it a lovely soft conditioning feel. -GREAT FOR SOFTENING CURLY HAIR. This Non-crunching formula gives your curls an amazing soft feel to them without giving you that unnatural crusty gel-like feeling. -Massage into scalp as pre shampoo treatment.
