The Arabesque® Wooden Wall Hanging. "The Golden Quran" Medieval Maghribi Arabic Calligraphy Quran Artwork Inspired From a 1000 CE Manuscript

This wooden wall hanging reproduces a passage from a 1000 CE Quranic manuscript housed in Manchester's John Rylands Library, rendered in the distinctive Maghribi calligraphy of medieval North Africa and Spain. The artisan has woodburned the opening of verse 3:103—"And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided"—onto an 11 by 14 inch plaque, finishing the letters in gold leaf and adding blue diacritical markings to echo the illuminated manuscript's beauty. Mounted on stormy bluish-gray stained wood, it brings the historical reverence of Islamic calligraphic tradition into your home.
