The Goblin Market Tarot Sealed Deck | John Matthews | Rare Faery Tarot | Fantasy Tarot Cards | Collector Deck | Metta-Blessed™

The Goblin Market Tarot by John Matthews & Charles Newington (2021) Sealed Watkin’s Edition | Faery Tarot Inspired by Christina Rossetti | Rare Fantasy Deck | Metta-Blessed™ Description Enter the strange and enchanted realm of The Goblin Market Tarot — a beautifully imagined faery-world tarot inspired by Christina Rossetti’s haunting 1862 poem Goblin Market. Created by renowned mythologist and tarot scholar John Matthews alongside celebrated fantasy artist Charles Newington, this deck immerses the reader in a dreamlike landscape of goblins, faeries, tangled forests, ruined towers, fruit-laden symbolism, and ancient folklore energy. This copy remains factory sealed, preserving the cards and guidebook untouched within their original wrapping. The soft blue presentation box and whimsical golden typography give the deck a distinctly magical collector’s aesthetic — both playful and eerie in equal measure. The artwork is unlike traditional Rider-Waite systems, offering instead a deeply narrative and intuitive reading experience. Every card feels like a fragment of folklore, blending innocence, temptation, glamour, mischief, and shadow into a uniquely poetic tarot journey. A wonderful deck for: ✦ Faery folklore lovers ✦ Fantasy & myth collectors ✦ Readers seeking a more intuitive, story-driven tarot ✦ Goblincore / cottagecore aesthetics ✦ Collectors of unusual or lesser-seen tarot editions ✦ Fans of Brian Froud-style fae imagery This edition is becoming increasingly difficult to find sealed, especially in such clean condition.
