Vintage Afghanistan Soviet War Propoganda Ethiopia Biafra Poster

This vintage propaganda poster from the Soviet era repurposes humanitarian crisis imagery to draw attention from African famines toward the conflict in Afghanistan, a striking example of how visual rhetoric shaped Cold War narratives. Measuring approximately 15 by 11 inches, the black-and-white print uses bold typography and traditional aid photography to redirect viewer focus—a provocative historical artifact that documents propaganda techniques and geopolitical messaging of the late 20th century. A thought-provoking addition for those interested in political history, journalism, and the visual language of international crises.
