Vintage Catalin Cigarette Holder – 1950s Honey to Orange Shift – Marbled Translucent Bakelite, Collector Piece

A stunning vintage Catalin cigarette holder from the 1950s, showcasing one of the most desirable transitions in early phenolic resin: a rich honey-yellow tone slowly deepening toward warm orange. This piece is carved from old Catalin and has developed a beautiful internal marbling (“hare”) throughout the body. When backlit, the depth of the material truly comes alive, revealing flowing organic patterns and a glowing amber-like translucency. The color is at a remarkable stage — sitting right between golden yellow and early orange, and expected to deepen further over time. This natural aging process makes each piece unique and highly collectible. The form is elegant and balanced, finished with a metal ring at the mouth end, adding both durability and a subtle vintage accent. Whether displayed as part of a collection or appreciated as a functional relic of mid-century design, this is a true statement piece.
