Description
Add a beautiful piece of American vintage glass to your collection with this substantial Fostoria Amber Coin Glass covered apothecary jar.
Standing approximately 13 inches tall, this impressive pedestal jar features Fostoria's distinctive Coin Glass pattern, with molded coin-style medallions incorporated throughout the rich amber glass. Among the motifs are the recognizable 1887 eagle and torch designs.
The jar has an elegant paneled body, flared scalloped rim, substantial faceted pedestal base, and coordinating domed lid topped with a pointed finial. The heavy amber glass ranges from warm golden honey to deeper amber tones where the glass is thicker, creating beautiful variations as the light passes through it.
At approximately 5.3 pounds, this is a substantial piece with wonderful visual presence. It would make a striking addition to a vintage glass collection, displayed on a buffet, hutch, mantel, bookshelf, or incorporated into traditional, Mid-Century, eclectic, or collected home décor.
It can also be used decoratively as a covered apothecary jar or display container.
