These vintage quilt patches are hand sewn in an unusual crazy-quilt-inspired abstract design using colorful silky plain and patterned fabrics. Each patch is backed with off-white fabric, including one with visible original flour-sack printing. Beautifully hand stitched, these unfinished quilt pieces are wonderful for quilting, slow stitching, textile collage, craft projects, or collecting vintage sewing history. Condition & Details: -Set of 6 hand-sewn quilt patches, approx 7.5 inches square each. -Fabrics show normal age-related wear, with some fraying and loose threads at the unfinished edges. -On one patch the flour-sack backing retains visible printed markings, including “25 LBS. NET WEIGHT” -Please see photos for details. Note: The exact age of the fabrics is unknown. The reused flour-sack backing suggests an early-to-mid 20th-century textile tradition, but does not establish an exact date.
