Vintage Homer Laughlin Serving Platter, Virginia Rose Pattern, Pink Floral, Platinum Trim

This is a lovely platter crafted by the HOMER LAUGHLIN COMPANY, in the Virginia Rose pattern. The name is in honor of W. E. Wells’ granddaughter, Virginia Rose Wells. This pattern was produced from 1929 into the 1970s. The pattern is recognizable by its bouquets of pink, white and lavender flowers on a background of creamy winter white, platinum silver trim, and scalloped edges. They are must-haves for the discerning collector. It is not stamped on the underside, but is definitely crafted by HOMER LAUGHLIN, Made in USA. The circa dates must have worn off over the years on this platter. I believe it is from the 1940s. MEASUREMENTS (approximately): • Length: 11 ¾ inches • Width: 8 ¾ inches CONDITION: Good vintage condition. The colors are vibrant and some of the platinum trim remains intact, although the trim is worn. It is not chipped. The issues to note include some very faint staining on the top and signs of wear on the underside (see photos), but these small issues are consistent with the age of the item and do not detract from its beauty or usability, but you decide for yourself after viewing the photos. This is a vintage item, and has been gently used. I have done my best to describe it, but it is possible that a small defect could have escaped my notice.
