Vintage Sheet Music: Warblings at Eve, B. Richards, Edition De Luxe, Art Nouveau

Warblings at Eve by B. Richards, an antique piano piece from the "Edition De Luxe" series of the De Luxe Music Co., Broadway & 28th Street, New York. The cover is the main attraction: a framed twilight scene of a tree arching over still water, printed in burnt orange and deep green on a salmon-toned stock. The lettering and ornament are in the Art Nouveau style, and the cover illustration carries an artist's signature at the lower left. The back cover advertises "Three Beautiful Reveries for Piano" with music excerpts for Shower of Roses (Bessie May), Bridal Day (Harriet Wilcox), and Wandering Thoughts (Elizabeth Freal). It is credited to Will Wood, with De Luxe Music Co. as sole selling agents, 17 West 28th Street. This is a nice piece for a collector of early American sheet music or cover art, or for framing a cover as vintage wall decor. Building a collection?
