Vintage Taxco 980 Silver Triple Dome brooch by Serafin Moctezuma | 1940's Mexican Silver Hollow Dome Bar Pin

An amazing early 20th century 1930's to 1940's handmade 980 sterling silver Taxco Mexico original signed Serafin Moctezuma three hollow dome pin. Sometimes refered to as globes, these simple minimalist triple half domes are hollow with a closed backing and a high polished finish has been applied. The higher alloy of silver does not tarnish like sterling so this has a nice bright silver patina. This SM maker's hallmark looks so similar to William Spratling's WS, that if you turn it upside down it was close enough in looks to cause alarm for Spratling. It is stamped 980, Serafin's maker's mark and Taxco and is pre Eagle mark for it's time frame. It is secured by a C-clasp closure. Perfect for pairing for your Native American and vintage Mexican silver beads.
