NR I wish that I could say that my experience with them has been excellent. My complaints - customer service is sorely lacking. Every time I have needed to contact them I have had to wait a long time to receive any response and when it has come it has been very curt, bordering on rude. Example, they carry excellent cotton gauze hijabs - but were out of the color and style I wanted. I wrote to inquire as to when they would relist them and at the same time let them know that I thought the hijabs were wonderful. I didn't hear from them for several days and when I did the reply just said that they didn't have them now - no further information, no pleasant communication. There are other similar incidents with them I could cite. It is important to be courteous to customers. Also, while I have found the quality of the hijabs to be good I have found the garment quality to be low. Finishing on the garments is very poor (ex: stitching is very large - not what you expect to see on high-quality garments, hemming is poor, buttons and closures are low quality) - and they carry few garments in natural fibers - most are polyester or nylon. NR Great selection. I have ordered from them, and my abayas come looking great, but dont last very long. Instead of cutting from longer fabric rolls (more expensive but willing to pay), they cut from shorter and piece the sleeves on. I have a belled sleeve garment that has seems at the elbows which is not very professional. But all other garments from them have been good. Posted on August 5, 2006 |

NR I love their selection, and have always had very good service with this store. Once in a while I have received something that is snagged or torn, but mostly very nice. Posted on July 16, 2006 |

NR Good selection of everything from hijab and jilbab to vests and skirts and pants in different combinations. You can mix and match pieces and have them made from the same colors and fabrics so that they make a nice set. I had a good experience shopping with them! Posted on February 26, 2006 |

NR Outstanding selection with customization of sizes up to 9X for ladies on all jilbobs, abayas, and suits. The best customer service I have found on the internet. Very prompt to answer inquiries even though they are located in Kuwait and there is an 8-hour time difference between us. Posted on December 12, 2005 |

NR I have ordered successfully from al hediya many times. However, I am not happy about one thing -- the sizes seem to be changing. They are not consistent. I ordered two basically identical overgarments (except for color) in the space of a year; one was suitably loose. The other was several inches smaller in width, making it a bit less suitable as a jilbab -- even if it's still somewhat loose, it becomes a bit less convenient to wear other clothes underneath. I wish the owner would resolve this as the clothes from her business are otherwise pretty good. Posted on October 3, 2005 |

NR Excellent site and the only one I consistently order from. The business is run by an American revert lady based in Kuwait thus she is able to cater to both a western and traditional audience, the service is fantastic and I have always been thrilled with what I have ordered. Each package is sent personally by the owner so you can be sure of quality control. Their range of sizes is very good; and on many of the overgarments you can specify your height also so that sleeve length and detailing is proportioned to your height as well. Although some of their garments are not to the taste of younger women; overall they have a decent range; I just wish they offered more western style 'work' clothing, and a wider range of hijabs in a wider variety of sizes (most of their hijabs/milfehs are on the small side) Posted on December 29, 2004 |

NR Although they don't have the hottest and trendiest items, they have a reliably good selection of overgarments and scarves, and a smattering of other items such as men's wear and button down ladies' blouses. The items are better made than most imports -- they have finished (serged) seams, for example. The items take about 3-4 weeks to arrive in the US from Kuwait, but, especially if there's a sale, the prices are good. Also, you can customize many options on jilbabs such as the length, the size (width), the embroidery (matching or constrasting color, or none at all), all of which are lacking in most jilbab shopping experiences, where sizing is notoriously inconsistent and both tall and small women have trouble finding a good fit.
