Description
Some things are made quickly and forgotten just as fast. These are not those things.
This pair of Moroccan babouche is handcrafted in the ancient medina of Fez, the city that has defined the art of leather craftsmanship for over a thousand years. Every cut, every stitch, and every finish is the work of artisans who learned their trade by hand and who understand that a pair of babouche is not simply footwear it is the final detail that completes a traditional Moroccan ensemble and the first thing a man reaches for when he wants to feel at ease in his own home.
The upper is crafted from premium full-grain leather with a natural pebbled texture that gives the surface both character and durability. The leather is firm enough to hold the classic pointed toe silhouette with precision, yet soft enough to conform to the shape of the foot over time, developing a fit that becomes more personal with every wear. The interior is smooth and unlined, allowing the leather to breathe naturally and keep the foot cool during long evenings of celebration or daily home wear. The sole is flat and flexible, stitched by hand along the perimeter with a clean, even seam that speaks to the quality of construction beneath the surface.
The pointed toe known in Moroccan tradition as the belgha form is the defining shape of the authentic Fez babouche and the silhouette that has remained unchanged for centuries. It is a shape that carries cultural meaning, pairs effortlessly with a Jalaba or traditional thobe for Eid and Ramadan celebrations, and looks equally refined worn casually at home or at the mosque.
This babouche is available in a range of colors as shown in the workshop, including tan, cream, white, black, navy, green, and more. Please specify your preferred color when placing your order.

Care Instructions
Wipe clean with a soft damp cloth as needed and allow to air dry naturally away from direct heat or sunlight. With proper care, this leather will develop a rich patina over time and last for many years.
Made in Fez, Worn Everywhere

They work by hand, in workshops that have stood for generations, producing pieces that carry genuine cultural value alongside their practical function.
